My name, is Jesse Westburg. I’m a freshman at Texas State University, which is in San Marcos Texas. I like to write occasionally, and I like hiking and being in nature although I don’t do it as often. I do paint, but I’d be remiss to compare myself to Bob Ross (or anybody with skill of any sorts). I Love music, and all I can think to say about is I don’t know where I’d be if it wasn’t around. And last but certainly not least, I love movies.

I love them so much I’m changing my major to Mass communication and Electronic Media. I want to be a director, and according to the advisors at Texas State, this is the path I need to take. In the meantime however, I’ve enrolled in a few basic Mass Comm courses this semester, and one in particular has served as the catalyst for this very website

You see, I’m required to maintain this website for a grade. I was given basic instructions on the parameters of each post, but apart from that I have free reign. And using my power I decided this website will be about movies. I have a passion for talking about cinema, and analyzing movies has always been a hobby of mine.

Now Realistically I know I’ll just be yelling into the void, but that’s okay with me. I want to do this not only to watch more movies, but to further my ability as a writer. This blog is a learning experience that forces me to start caring about things like my future and my dreams. This is the metaphorical rug that will tie my metaphorical room together. BOOM. Big Lebowski joke. I’m credible.

I digress.

What I hope to convey through all this lofty talk is that this is something I’m excited for. Despite who ends up reading this I understand how educating this can be for both of us. I hope not only to seize this opportunity, but to do it while providing that grand matinee experience.

One last thing. I will be using my own original photos as well as links to websites blogs, or videos that I think add context, humor, or insight to my posts. I also will be using Twitter and Instagram to promote my new posts. So:
